The Chinese company Hanvon, known as Hanwang in China, is the largest ebook reader manufacturer in China. They are reportedly the founder of the national patented Chinese Handwriting Recognition Technology and a leading company in intelligent pattern recognition technology.
They have introduced their revolutionary Hanvon Touchpad which consists of an ultra thin 10.1-inch multi-touch slate-type computer, with a screen resolution of 1024-by-600p. This device sports an Atom Z530 processor, 120GB hard drive, GMA 500 graphics, an HDMI port and 1080p playback support. It also sports 2x USB slots, mic and 3.5 mm headphone jacks, and a WiFi switch. It operates on Windows 7.
The Hanvon comes with an electromagnetic panel to support its handwriting recognition. It will have two versions, one based on Intel ULV platform, and the other based on Intel Atom platform.
This product features a button on its right side, which can be used to switch on and off the Wi-Fi adaptor. It comes with two cameras (one on the front and one on the back).
This ultra-portable device comes with a pre-installed copy of Windows 7 Starter Edition operating system and is allegedly capable of running 1080p Full HD videos. It has a slim and appealing design and presumably weighs no more than a kilogram (2.2lbs).
This attractive and impressive device differs from most with the ability to use recognition software in different languages.
You can use the pen or fingertip to write, or use the mouse to navigate in greater comfort wherever you need to work. You can input Chinese or English into the computer freely.
The Photo Reader is able to recognize Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English and table forms, export data to different word processing software, and make full-article translation at one time. The Screen Reader is able to recognize text contents, then easily convert it into editable text.
This device can easily be used to hook up to the TV and be used as a media box or for browsing the net comfortably from your living room couch. With the HD video playback and more, it makes it a great in home device for entertainment as well.
