The Archos 9 being called  “The Next Generation of Netbooks” by Archos, is an elegant, 9-inch touchscreen tablet, with 1024×600 screen resolution, it is only 0.63-inches thick, runs Windows 7, has a 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z515 processor, 1GB of ram, 80GB hard drive, has a four hour battery life and weighs only about 1.75 pounds.
This thin, lightweight device includes a web browser, webcam, Bluetooth, optical trackpoint, Wi-Fi, built-in speakers, and has an option for 3G wireless.  On the back of the device you’ll find an extendable flip-out stand, with a stylus included in a slot on the back.
Archos has been making tablets for  ages, this quick and accurate device is being aimed at industrial and specialist users.  This ultra thin, lightweight device can be handily packed in a bag or handbag where you can easily check up on emails, weather, stocks as well as providing entertainment while waiting for a bus, train, plane or any other situation where a keyboard is just not practical or convenient.
The ARCHOS 9 PC tablet combines the performance of a high-end Netbook, making it easy to do all your daily tasks while on the move.
It also includes two USB  2.0 ports to plug in any USB device such as your digital camera or an external hard drive, VGA,  2 additional audio connectors for a headset, 10/100 ethernet and also a 1.3-megapixel webcam.
The optical trackpad and an on-screen keyboard can be used for navigation and data input.  Stored files can be searched for quickly through the Windows Search bar, accessible from the start menu.  Also includes movable widgets, that can be placed anywhere on the desktop, providing instant access to the latest news and information services.
You can use  popular software Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Mail, a productivity suite or Skype with Windows® 7 to play multimedia content and HD Videos.
