The Digital Rise X9 tablet is being offered from the Chinese company, Digital Rise.  Digital Rise became known after releasing an iPhone clone called the d718i and was said by some to have improved on Apple’s original design.

The X9 has a large 10.2-inch Multi-touch screen, with a resolution of 1024 x 600. It has an Intel Atom N270 processor, a 160GB hard drive, 2GB of DDR2 memory, and comes with 160GB of HDD space. Graphics are integrated, and has the Windows 7 operating system.  It has a 1.3-megapixel webcam, built-in 3G, GPs, and WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.  It will come preloaded with Nintendo NES emulation software. The X9’s screen is said to be dust, scratch, and fire resistant.  It has a memory card reader and 3 USB slots and SIM slot.   It is about 24.7mm thick and weighs about 2kg, with a battery life of up to 4 hours.

It is being described as being well designed and user-friendly with a compact form factor.  It will come pre-loaded with office file viewing applications, communication software and a NES games emulator.

RELEASE AND COST

The cost of the Digital Rise X9 Tablet is listed as $799.00, shipping from Chinese tech importers.  It was set to ship on February 1st, but there was a 2 week waiting period because of high demand.  Shipment by this date most likely has caught up.
